Hot or Cold Gel Compress (Size of pack - 23cm x 12.5cm x 1cm)
Great for treating a wide range of soft tissue injuries. Microwaveable and reusable for hot or cold treatment.
CAUTION: It is advisable to check that the gel pack is not too hot or too cold. To avoid extremes of temperature wrap gel pack in a cloth or towel before application.
Application: COLD
- Store in the freezer so that pack is ready to use in case of injury.
- Approx. 1 hour required to freeze gel.
- Ideal to use for:
- Reducing swelling.
- Toothache.
- Temporary relief of headache.
- Reducing fevers.
Application: HOT
- Microwave:
- Microwave on high power for approx. 30 seconds (if pack at room temperature) or 1 minute (if frozen).
- If correct temperature has not been reached microwave in 10 second bursts (600w) to achieve desired temperature.
- Hot Water:
- Bring water to boil and remove from heat.
- Immerse gel pack in water for approx. 4-10 minutes.
- After 4 minutes test temperature and then every minute after that until desired temperature is reached.
- Ideal to use for:
- Temporary relief of muscle aches and pains.
- Back Pain.
- Sinusitis.
- Menstrual cramps.
